Game Industry Careers Evenings
We’ve assembled a panel of experienced games industry professionals from a range of different roles to answer your questions about what it’s like to work in games, how they got started and what they do every day. We’ve got locally employed and highly experienced artists, animators, programmers, designers and project managers on hand to give you all the inside tips, and the evening will be moderated by a long-standing games industry PR director and former journalist.
The games industry in the UK employs tens of thousands of people, over 2,000 of them in the Midlands alone. It’s been the UK’s largest entertainment export for many years and provides a wealth of different career opportunities for a host of creative and technical people who get to work with some of the biggest and most well-known entertainment brands in the world.
So whether you’re a student wanting to get into games, a teacher who wants to hear more about the opportunities the industry presents, or a parent who’s not yet convinced that working in games is a ‘proper job’ then come along and join us to find out more.
